The owners of this original 1900’s weatherboard family home in Sydney’s lower north shore, needed a quiet space away from the raucous kids, to work. A sunny
room at the front of the home was selected. The clients’ brief was BLUE! An interesting blend of old and new and lastly “can you make it warm in winter”
A contemporary cobalt wool rug anchors the blue colour palette. The 1980’s bent glass desk was found at the auctions together with a mounted blue-feathered Native American headdress. The heavy linen floor to ceiling curtains flanks the French doors, opening on to the front porch. Finally, the clients’ own tub chairs where included for client meetings.
